So I'm just gonna bombard you with all of the clothing that I've made for my Dainty adoptables so-far, because I have become wretchedly addicted to this Free-to-use, Dainty-only base made by King-Hime and I simply cannot be contained.

From oldest to newest, A TALE OF MUCH CLOTHING. Let's play an informal game of 'spot the items that involve the same re-used lineart!'

Lots of CHIBI FASHION under this cut )

And there we have it, FOR NOW. I already have a Dainty waiting for a new wardrobe, so I'll probably be editing this post to include THOSE images once I'm done with my work ♥

Now, you might be thinking to yourself, 'what sort of a vague Throwback Thursday theme is THAT?' and you're certainly right to feel like it runs the risk of being not-so-very-cohesive. But let me tell you, even though these pieces were done almost entirely as commissions for a variety of clients, they altogether work as part of a larger miniseries of art pieces, created mostly between August of 2010 and December of 2012. You see, I had come back from a college trip to Japan with a package of hot pressed watercolour paper pre-cut to a postcard size, and I wanted to have some fun with it!

WARNING: There is a single instance of non-sexual boobie under this cut! )

So that concludes this installment of
Throwback Thursday! If you have any questions about Copic markers, the techniques that I used to create these pieces, or what I did to achieve some of the effects you see here, please let me know in the comments! ♥

For my very first Throwback Thursday post, we're gonna travel back a FULL DECADE to the year 2009, and the Death Note International Fan Anthology, 40 Seconds! [The fact that the website for our publication still exists, after all this time and the advent of Web 2.0, is frankly incredible to me.]

Click HERE for a whole lot more imagery! )

So that concludes this installment of Throwback Thursday! If you have any questions about the book, the artwork featured here, or my still fervent passion for Mihael "Mello" Keehl [up to and including my willingness to fight for his proper characterization in a Denny's parking lot if I have to], let me know in the comments! ♥

In-progress sketch and test colour for the tribute piece I'm doing. OTL I suck.

So then, after Otakon ended I got back to my house in Savannah just long enough to pack and move to Charleston, 2 hours away. |D; And after I packed and moved to Charleston, I didn't have internet for a week. And after THAT week, I started work at the downtown market AND had to go home for three days of internet-less visit. Then, upon my return to Charleston, there was MORE work, and... here I am, AGES later and barely having drawn much at all for all of the hectic goings-on in my life. SORRY, sketchblog, I didn't mean to neglect you! /;A;

Anyway... today's doodle features an OLD old old original character of mine, whose name is so stupidly reflective of how old she is that I'm not going to write the whole thing down where human eyes can see it ever again! XD; Let's refer to her as Kata, since THAT bit is not so embarrassing, and I'll say that she had an incredible childhood that involved her being put through something of a little kids' Battle Royale for the entertainment of the rich, then eventually culminated in her becoming an assassin. Because I loved the Shadow Skill OVA, Weiß Kreuz and all sorts of other fabulously bloody and poorly-animated things at that age, I think I was really into the concept of creating a character who was a killer. But, you know, I wanted the element of invincibility and self-confidence of the fighters in Shadow Skill to be mixed with the self-destructive downward spiral of the Weiß Kreuz characters, and for a measure of emo to be removed from the equation. XD;; ANYWAY, yeah, trip down memory laaaaane~

Kata has battle scars, by the way, but I totally didn't draw them because I doodled the things above at work between customers. And I realized as I drew her that she looks a bit like my other OC Rothko, except that SHE'S a brunette with red eyes and Rothko legitimately has black hair and eyes. Go figure!

Somewhat NWS - man chest and suggestiveness! )

Here I am throwing up another OLD old old piece of art, this time of an old friend's original character, 'Mert.' Mert is a son [though his gender is intentionally ambiguous throughout most of her comic, since he's always hidden beneath layers of baggy clothing and is generally androgynous - don't let this image fool you;;] of Anubis, the Egyptian God of Embalming and other such things, and he and a collection of other half-mortal spawn of Gods from various pantheons are the main cast of her story. Hence 'Godlings' being the title, and BAH there is much backstory for it but I'll not go into that.

MORE not-work-safe under the cut - still just man chest and suggestiveness, though! )

I'm only going to show this and the other things that I've shown you for the anthology so-far, I promise, so that people will have just enough teasers to think to themselves 'hey, maybe I should buy this anthology full of everyone's lovingly rendered contributions' and not 'Gee, look at this loser Zeda, uploading every little thing she's making for that anthology book!' XD

Anyway, that's L tickling Mello, who has pilfered a cookie from him without permission. ♥ This picture is so small in the grand scheme of the page that it's on that I'm thinking I might colour it in and make it its own separate art piece for my site/DA, just because I'm a dorkerton. XD; Also, that errant line at L's knee has long since been edited-out, don't worry about it!

There is one more picture for this post, just a doodle that I sketched recently, but since there are boobies in it I'm putting it under a cut!

BOOBIES! )

L x Mello

This is a very very very, VERY very very, very old doodle of Wammy's-era Mello and L. I intended for Mello to appear as though he was trying to be cute and seductive, and as though L were just stock-still and staring as if he hadn't yet determined what exactly he wanted to commit to as a proper reaction. Never mind, of course, that L looks horrid and that Mello's hair is terrible. XD ANYWAY, since this image will otherwise never see the light of day, I suppose that it should go in my skechblog eh??

This is one of the illustrations that I'm working on for the Death Note International Fan Anthology! It's still, uh...;; Pretty silly looking and sort of lame, I think that I have a lot about it left to fix. In the story by Ciara, Near is compared to a white moth - encased in a cocoon of logic at all times, but moved to become something like a squirming larvae under Mello's influence. I wanted to include aspects of the moth, and of Mello being cast in black while Near is cast in white. XD; Awfully high intentions for a picture like this, ah? Oh well;; ♥

Alright!
